CHRIS BROWN MAKES PLEA TO FANS

THE FACTS
Singer makes public plea to fans to help aid his fledging career.
THE SPIN
“I ain’t never really did this but right now I need all of my fans help. Some radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to. It’s on the fans and you guys do what’s in your power to bring me back. That’s all I need is you guys and nothing else will do that except for the fans.
Here’s the audio:
I don’t know what else to say. It’s nothing else that I can do. I’m doing everything that I need to do. I’m doing me as a person and I’m a better guy. It’s on ya’ll. My singing and my music I do it for you guys and everything else but it won’t be possible if I’m not relevant on the radio and it wouldn’t be possible for me to be an artist if I don’t have any support from the people giving artists an outlet. I can’t be an underground mixtape artist. That’s where we are. I just want all my fans to help me. I love ya’ll. Peace.”
Here’s the spin:
Who told him to come back this soon? If I’m being honest he and his team handled all of this arrogantly. If you think you can beat up a much bigger female star than you and then pop lock your way back into the hearts and minds of people barely half a year past the “incident” you need to invest in a rehabilitation center.
I don’t wish ill on Chris’ career. I think one mistake albeit horrifying shouldn’t stop someone so young from going on to enjoying a career his talent (as a performer) typically allows one to have. Having said that, he beat her up, went on a jet ski, did a bunch of interviews in which he didn’t really acknowledge what he did, and then proceeded to drop an album full of songs that were catered to the very demographic that hates him the most presently.
Bad planning, bad PR, just bad all around. But let me quit because I don’t want any of you all’s little sisters cursing me out in the comments section.
Pretend you’re on Team Brown.
What’s it going to take to get Chris Brown’s career back on track? Or is it too late for him? What would you say to Chris at this point?

I would say keep your head up young man and in order to be forgiven you must forgive! Who are we to say when he should come back. As for that should there be video of young ladies and men promoting suicide (playing with guns and shit). Leave that man alone and let him do what he do. Chris what God has for you is for you and no radio station can stop that. All yall be blessed.
Maybe there is more that he can do, possibly donate a portion of his cd sales to an organization that helps victims of abuse.
He donates already he also spends time at shelters talking to women and children, the real people who have suffered actual abuse.
I don’t think it’s too late but he needs a new PR team because the one he has is just useless. They should have backed the media up off him, start threatening to sue for libel. His mother should have been more presently seen. He should have never apologized to the public, it wasn’t their business. As far as interviews, he should have let Rihanna do the “career crushing 20/20 interview” and then did a full rebuttal interview. He should show humbleness and humility but not weaknes.
He is the only entertainer I know who has apologized and groveled a million times and he has suffered the most backlash. He should have never apologized it was a sign of weakness.
I think his mistake is that he keeps talking about it. He’s under the impression that he can actually do or say something that’ll change the minds of people who’ve decided not to believe him. Do the best you can, Chris, then don’t worry about the rest.
I understand that this is about his livelihood, but there has to come a point when he realizes that the more he attempts to explain and plead, the more he’ll have to. He’s a very young guy; maybe he should take a break and go to college or something. If not, then he should be the first to put it behind him by learning from it, then going about his business and letting people think what they want to.
This is crazy. Rihanna is no way as talented nor a better entertainer than Chris Brown. His first mistake was dating her in the first place. Everything that looks good is not always good for you. There is more to this story than meets the eye. Chris is young and very talented and needs your support, not your negative comments. He is a good kid that made two bad mistakes, the first, being dating Rihanna and the second being letting a woman take him where no man should never go. If a woman elevates you to hit her, walk away and never look back, she ain’t for you. May GOD be with him and show him the way. His mother needs to get behind him, as behind every great man is a great woman. She needs to break her ties with Rihanna and support her son. Chris really needs you Mom, step up to the plate. I would never have allowed my son to be displayed in this manner with his Mom in the shadows. She was too quite and allowed herself to play a victim of abuse on Larry King.
I wish Chris would quit apologizing for it. Yes, what he did was terrible but there are white celebs that did WORSE than him and they aren’t being raked over the coals! Heck, even some of our legends like James Brown and Don Cornealius weren’t under the scrutiny like this.
Chris, get a better PR team and just do you. Your real fans and those that really care about you will be there. The ones that’ll keep riding you about this can go take a big glass of “SUCK IT” (apologizes to WWE’s DX).
I agree, Chris needs to let it go. As it was said in an earlier post, what God has for you, no man can take it from you. We all must reap what we sow, even when we do apologize. The Lord knows why, so let Him work it out. Chris is definitely a talented young man. I think what killed his career is that he does not wear his emotions on his sleeve. He did not look humbled or remorseful enough for the masses I guess and even if he did, people are going to taunt and prevent him from getting his career back. It saddens me that radio stations won’t play his music. Lil Wayne is a gun toting, drug taking, having babies out of wedlock all in the same year heathen but he gets the dominate play all over the radio. One sin is no worse than the other. It’s all wrong, morally and/or legally. Chris should be given a fair chance to have his career after he apologize and committed himself to his legal obligations. What does this back lash do to other young men who realize they need help for domestic abuse but won’t for fear of being turned on?? My advice would be for him to take time away from the business, puruse school or other opportunities & get his heart/mind in align with Christ then let God guide his path. Good Luck Chris!
Chris’ PR people need to be fired. Period.
Take the childs TWITTER AWAY FROM HIM!
He’s complying with the court orders, and probation…he should have recorded new material…let it sit for a bit and reemerge when the movie “TAKERS” opens this summer. I’ve seen clips…looks good. How can you go wrong in a movie with Idris Elba and Michael Ealy?
That’s what should have been done. He would have emerged as a man.
People do not value the career of the person they are working for. To put him back out there was stupid.
Chris,
I do believe that the media press and everyone gave you a RAW DEAL. My reason is that I lost two brothers by the hand of a woman. No, they did not hit maybe had they defended themselves they would probably be alive today. I am neither for any man nor woman putting their hands on anyone, but that is said and done and over with. While people like JZ slapped and hit a woman on tour and Don Conelius domestic violence with his wife and nothing was said about it to me was not justice. However, time is on your side. I would not look at this as a means or way of being ignore. I would look at this as an opportunity to prove first to yourself and to world that you are a better person.
When I think of how for years the media, radio stations, always making jokes on him, entertainers, magazines and the list goes on of how they tried to really DESTROY AND BREAK MICHEAL JACKSON. I remember when he came out with THRILLER and OFF THE WALL albums. The media, tried to make a joke out of him, but he put his talent to work and look at the outcome. I remember reading an article where MICHEAL, MR. JACKSON stated how in his writing or dancing. He would always take time to talk and meditate on God and FAST over his work and dance moves. Notice how he re-focuses his energy. It seems to me that whenever a BLACK MAN, tries to establish himself and become a person of substance. No matter what level the man is in there is always someone right there to try and bring him down.
The first and most important thing you must remember. Is that No one can ever hurt you or stop you accept YOU allow them to hurt you. I pray that you will truly renew your relationship to God and start focusing on making people take notice of your gift of talents. This is not going to come from your fans, but rather from you. Make yourself where people will start asking for you, calling for CHRISTOPHER BROWN. My daughter is truly a fan of your and she constantly prays and fasts for you. She is of age, so what I am telling you. Is not to look for the people, to resign, but rather have the people asking and looking for you. Take this time to really prepare yourself for something that would be TOTALLY GRAND. Do not give the media, and people a chance to say or think that you are DOWN AND OUT. Your true answers lies within yourself. I pray and ask God to direct you in your gift of a SUPER COME BACK. Remember “SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU”
I feel that Chris Brown is a very talented young man and he made a mistake. It was a huge mistake that he is going to have to live with for the rest of his life. But that’s just it; it was a MISTAKE. Everyone on this earth is imperfect and we do things that are against normal morals and values but we live and we learn. I feel that if your a fan of someone then your a fan, through everything. His mistake will not and should not ever overshadow his talent. . end of story
Chris,
You’ve done everything that you can. Forgive yourself, and move on. You are a gifted and talented young man. God Bless you.
Chris,
You’ve done everything that you can, you’ve apologized and grovelled more times than necessary. In my opinion you’ve been treated harshly and unfairly. You are a gifted and talented artist, and you have REAL fans who love you and wish you the best for your life and your career. None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes. Forgive yourself and move on. God Bless You.
I agree with Denise. AND WHY HASN’T ANYONE HELD Rhianna liable in any of this? She’s said herself she pushed and pushed. Everybody has a breaking point. We as women can at times say somethings or do somethings that we know may light that spark and dare. Now by no means am I saying he should have jacked her up as he did but IF SHE HIT HIM IN THE HEAD WITH A SHOE ALLEDGELY AS DE DE FROM DOUG BANKS SHOW REPORTED THEN HE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO PROTECT HIMSELF,UNFORTUNEATELY IT GOT OUT OF HAND. Keep you head up sweetie, pray let go and let GOD.Peace…….
People should really get over this and get a life of there own and “Grow Up”. Chris you shouldnt have to apologize to no one but her then after thats done thats it.. You dont owe the world, sorry but they were not there with you and have not a clue of what she did to you. I would say more but the “judgemental people” won’t be able to handle it.
I am so tired of people bashing Chris Brown. He has done what he needed to do, now let him do his music. I agree with all above; at least he doesn’t use a lot of vulgarity in his music as Rhianna’s CD. I can’t even play it around my grand-daughter. When you call your self a “B” I have a problem with that.
I agree with everyone’s post. Chris keep your head up. I pray that everything works out for you. Things like this take time. Again young brother keep your head up. GOD Bless!!
I do not understand why or how you have become the poster child for domestic abuse. You should not have to keep apologizing for the incident that happened, as it takes two to tango. I think Rihanna should take some responsibility for her part. I hope that you will stay away from that heffer as you can clearly see she left you to catch a case. Be strong this will pass.
I am in total agreement with most of the comments on this board and must say it is very nice to read encouraging comments instead of focusing on the negative. Chris made a huge mistake, but he should not be penalized for it for the rest of his life. He has made amends and asked for forgiveness; who are we to sit in judgment of him? Other artists (black and white) have asked for forgiveness, received it, and have been able to overcome their indiscretions, so why is it that we hold Chris to a higher standard? He is a young man trying to find his way through a bad situation. While violence is wrong regardless of who strikes first, he should not be made the poster child for domestic abuse and neither should Rihanna be made a saint. Some would argue that since the incident Rihanna’s demeanor has changed for the worse. I say that it was always there and she used this incident as her scapegoat to show her true self! Now, I am not blaming the victim, but in this case, I believe they are both victims of circumstances. There were many other people, including celebrities, that have gone through some form of misconduct and/or abuse! Chris and Rihanna weren’t the first and most definitely won’t be the last. I say it’s time for everyone to move on and let this talented young man get back to doing what he is very good at and obviously enjoys doing….entertaining! Keep your head up Chris and always put GOD first in your life and everything else will take care of itself! I am a fan!
Damn it’s over he beat her up (dont get me wrong he shouldn’t have)but couples fight everyday. Just because he is an celebrity he still has to work. The public is all behind Rihanna not knowing every detail of situation or what brought it about.More on people its more important things inlife to be worried about. Chris IS A VERY TALENT singer and dancer (one of the best) so I believe he will comeback even harder then before. Real fans will be your fan regardless because everybody make mistakes (that they cant always take back)you just have stay focus.
Chris needs to let it go. I would never buy any of his stuff anymore and I wish my daughter would be a fan. What he did was terrible and I don’t think he will change. He never showed true regret for his actions. Maybe he can be an Unsung story in 10 or 15 years.
Chris Brown is a young man who made a stupid but serious mistake. But he has admitted it and tried to right it. He is young and knows everyone is watching so give him a break! What he will face is going to be overkill! every woman he meets will be accusing him of abuse there will be more lies and gossip. He will ge a star because he is destined to be one.
What he needs is strong men to take him under their wing and counsel him not to be ostracized by the media. Give him a break! You have murderers, drug dealers, thieves, and more with careers how do you make a young man more responsible than anyone else I can not comprehend.
He beat her up. It comes out that he has a history of that type of behavior, then wants to sing love songs to little girls. No thank you. His success for me would be validating all of the junk on the radio devaluing our black children. No. As far as I’m concerned feature him in ten years on Unsung.
Chris Brown is very talented and I think he will make a good comeback. I do not condone what he has done. It was a huge mistake on his part. However, someone said it; he needs a new PR team to help him get back on track and a counselor to help him through his feelings of what he has done. My ringtone on my cell is his version of Try A Little Tenderness from the movie, This Christmas and I will say it again, he is very talented and rocked the hell out of this song!!!! I hope he prays and ask God to help him and start healing for himself and forgiveness for what he’s done.
I don’t think the lack of radio play has anything to do with what Chris Brown did. I thing the music itself is not worth playing on the urban radio stations. I heard some of the songs from his last album, and I think it sounds like a bunch of techno-pop. I can only tolerate a few minutes of that type of music and if anyone else is like me, they are not likely to request that stuff. If he went back to the type of music he had on his first two albums, he’d be better off.
2 b honest, I am totally fed up with the whole Chris-hateration!!! I am hopeful that he will come back, especially if he hires a new PR team!!!
NO ONE IS PERFECT! THAT’S NUMBER ONE, CHRIS IS YOUNG AND THINGS HAPPENED I DO NOT CONDONE MEN HITTING WOMEN I HAVE 3 SONS MYSELF BUT IF YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELF THEN DO SO. THESE PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE SHE DIDN’T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIS REACTION. WHEN RIAHANA FIRST HIT THE USA A YOUNG WOMAN SAID ON THE AIR THAT RIHANANA WAS NOT THE PERSON SHE SEEMED TO BE SHE SAID” SHE HAD VERY EVIL Ways and she was putting on a front for the USA . NO ONE IN HER COUNTRY WHO KNOWS HER WAS SHOCKED AT ALL. JAY-Z IS TRYING TO STOP THIS YOUNG MAN CAREER AND HE’S WRONG FOR DOING SO ESPECIALLY WHEN HE IS ON YOU TUBE BEATING UP ON A WOMAN… YEAH DID ANYONE STOP HIS CAREER? HELL NO! CHRIS GOD BLESS YOU DO HAVE MANY MANY FANS AND THE MAJORITY DIDN’T EVEN BELIEVE HER ON HER INTERVIEW WITH DIANA SAWYER, SHE WAS CONTRADICTING HER SELF AND TO BE QUITE HONEST IF SOME ONE HIT ME I’D HIT THEIR ASSES BACK AS WELL I DO NOT BELIEVE HE DID THAT MUCH DAMAGE TO HER FACE SHE WAS BACK IN THE SPOT LIGHT IN LIKE 3 DAYS THE WAY THOSE PICS LOOKED YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT SHE NEEDED RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY IT B.S CHRIS HOLD YOUR HEAD BABY BOY. I LOVE YOU YOUR MUSIC, YOUR DANCING YOU REMIND ME OF MICHEAL WHO I DEEPLY LOVED. BELIEVE THIS THE THINGS THEY ARE DOING WILL COME BACK ON THEM TRUST ME AND I LOVED GRAFFITI SO DID ALL MY NIECES AND THEY ARE STILL BUY CHRIS BROWN STUFF. YOUR TALENT OUT WEIGH YOUR 1 MISTAKE JUST LIKE T.I LIL WAYNE TRUST THEY ARE GONNA COME BACK HARD AND YOU DO THE SAME! LET THE HATERS HATE THEY NEED A JOB, KEEP DOING YOU!
LOVE, AND GOD BLESS, YOU GOT MAD LOVE IN PHILLY! GET NEW PR PEOPLE AND AS FOR KEN(ABOVE COMMENT) SHUT THE HELL UP IT WAS ONE TIME HATING ASS.
Listening to his “plea”, the first thing I would tell Chris is to learn to put together a coherent sentence. Then, and only then, I would have (because I think there’s not enough interest now…) had him sit down with 60 minutes, since they sat down with Rihanna over this, and show true remorse over what he did. I’m not saying turn on the water works but he needs to appear to feel like he is overwhelmed with sorrow over what he did and the pain he caused her. Forget apologizing the fans. Apologizing to the them is useless. They just want to know he’s sorry for what he did to her because most of them are her fans too.
As far as his career is concerned, I love how he said “My singing and my music I do it for you guys”… LOL… Who you foolin’? You do it for you! For the Bugatti, the Bentley and the mansions. Stop.
Overall, though, his lack of contrition over what he’s done will probably wreck him. I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone who isn’t sorry for the wrong they’ve done, regardless of talent level. May he get what he deserves.
i have one thing to say to chris brown. i love your music. what happened in your personal is not my business. please drop something hot and i will buy it.
Chris i am a fan. I think radio should not jude you. You have done what the courts and everyone else wanted you to do, so sing baby sing your fans will support you we love you.Radio stations shit happen its over now play the music. He is not the frist and not the last, lets keep it real
CB just wade the storm, Wat else can you do she’s living her life so why can’t you. Make another ballaf or to so ppl can fall back in love with you or another catchy up-beat song. RE-INVENT/INTRODUDE your self to da world. I can’t wait. Nd don’t let them rappers get to you they’re nothing but bad news
I feel chris has so much potential to do great things, since when was it a rule that if u become famous you can’t make a mistake.I don’t find anything wrong for what this young man is doing because without his loyal fans who does he have to keep his music going strong i am a supporter and yes what he did was wrong but man theres only so much a person can take he did it ok he can’t take that back he was punished, his commercial is no longer on tv,some stations won’t even play his music,he can’t walk out in public without someone sayin something negative man, the only thing this man can do is keep apologizing and prove to his fans all over that this kind of thing will not happen again now i see why young celebrities turn to drugs and crazy things like that because when they make mistakes its like the world is over i will continue to pray for him.

To the women who are blaming Rihanna, make sure to teach your daughters that if they argue with a man, then they deserve to get beat up!..because that’s the message you’re sending. If you people would look at t.v. you would have seen that Rihanna TOOK RESPONSIBILITY for her actions, she admitted that she did things wrong in her interview, she’s smart enough to know that she didn’t deserve to get a bloody face and fat lip, and left almost unconscious on the side of the road..just because she argued with him..That’s why so many young girls think it’s no big deal and are blaming themselves when their high school boyfriends are beating the crap out of them..No chris should not be tortured for life for his mistake, he is young and dumb, and everyone makes mistakes, but don’t try and justify his actions by blaming Rihanna..she never played the victim or denied her wrongdoings, but nothing she did warrants a MAN(boy) beating her bloody!!
Ken, ahhh Chris Brown has never had a history of domestic violence. I don’t know how much history you can have at 19 but he doesn’t have one…don’t know were you heard that but it is untrue…even Rihanna has stated he’s never hit her before and past girlfriends have also come forward to say it never happenened. Maybe you got him mixed up with James Brown…
Common Sense, Rihanna had a bloody lip that’s as far as her bloody went…there were no black eyes, busted or bloody nose and no broken bones…bottomline you lay hands on anyone don’t be surprise when they retaliate, male or female. Having a vagina does not automatically make you a victim. That’s what I will teach my daughter, KEEP YOR HANDS TO YOURSELF!
As I read through the comments on the page I am very disturbed. Just because Chris Brown is a great entertainer he should be forgiven. I am utterly DUMBFOUNDED by the excuses that people make for him. I don’t care what she did, clearly he is bigger and stronger – there is NO EXCUSE for any REAL man to put his hands on a woman – bottom line. The fact that people try to villify Rihanna is insane to me. Go visit a few shelters..clearly you guys live in a fantasy bubble.
Dee, I call bullshit! Real men my ass, real PEOPLE keep there hands to themselves. You don’t put your hands on anyone, male or female. Again I will repeat, having a vagina does not make you a victim! I have been to plenty of shelters, I’ve seen real abuse victims. That altercation between Chris and Rihanna is not it, sorry!
for anybody who believes in GOD,this
young man deserves a second chance just
because he is a child of GOD too, what
gives any of you on tv networks and radio stations to judge this young man so harshly. yes he was wrong for what he did and should be forgiven. how many
times have you been forgiven? bunch of
hypocrites.both of these young people
were hitting each other and doing things
that was not right. Do you know the whole story? rihanna is just as guilty
and her music is nasty but look at how everyone rally’s around her. she needs counseling too. chris brown never attacked rihanna’s image but out of jealousy she has almost destroyed his
career. get real people, we have all done bads things that we are not proud of. one day GOD is going to make you all
see what you have done to this young man.rihanna tell the truth . i see the
kind of person you are through your music and you are no better than any one else.
seek JESUS the both of you
thank you
JESUS IS LOVE
