The radio host claims Oprah Winfrey “lied” to Gabourey Sidibee about her chances of having a successful acting career.

Just the other day I listed the various projects Gabourey had on her plate, but apparently Howard Stern appointed himself God and decided that because Gabourey is obese she can’t have an acting career.

You feel bad because everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie,” Stern said. “She really should have gotten the Best Actress award because she’s never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?”
“‘Blind Side 2,’” Stern suggested. “She could be the football player, take out the whole front line.”
“It’s so sad you want to say to her, listen honey, you got a little money in the bank, go get yourself thin. You’re gonna die. And now she’s famous and she’ll never get another acting job”
Stern, on the air with his co-host Robin Quivers, also played the speech given by Oprah Winfrey to Sidibe at the Oscars on the program. The hosts said Oprah was lying to her by saying she’s going to have a career in Hollywood.”Come on, be honest with the girl,” Stern said. “Look in that room. Who else do you look like? Those are the people that work all the time,” Quivers agreed.
Howard Stern is jack and Robin’s his ass. While Gabby’s weight may pose potential health risks, she’s already proven that she can have a post-Precious acting career.
Maybe not the best career as Hollywood makes it difficult for any black actress to have a career that reaches its full potential, but I doubt she’ll never have another role again. She’s Tyler Perry’s friend and Oprah Winfrey’s homegirl. She’s fine.Â

Her weight has nothing to do with her acting ability! Then again, this is Howard Stern we are talking about so this doesn’t surprise me.

With a nose as big as an anteater’s snout, Howard Stern should be AFRAID to say anything about anyone else’s appearance for fear of drawing attention to his own aesthetic deficiencies. When he used to have the late night TV show about twenty years ago, I used to wonder what was wrong with that Robin Quivers, who’d sit there giggling at his minstrel-show jokes.
I don’t even think acting will be the end all for her, she’s got some great mentors and she doesn’t seem to be the low self esteem type that will have a meltdown if she isn’t in front of a camera. I would take a large talented full of personality actress like her over those ultra thin who- do-I-sleep- with- next- to- get- work types any day as in the case of Karrin Steffans. Do we really want all of our actresses to be each other’s carbon copy? In the words of Judge Judy “Beauty fades, but Dumb is forever.”
Howard Stern is an idiot!! He has nerve to talk about other people apparently he doesn’t own a mirror, I wouldn’t give him a second look with someone else’s eyes!! Her acting ability doesn’t have anything to do with her weight. She is very comfortable in her skin and she appears to love her self. I hope she doesn’t listen to this jerk and if acting is something she would like to continue than I hope you goes for it!!
